Colorado State Linebacker Mychal Sisson Breaks His Right Ankle Against Northern Colorado

All was not good in the Colorado St. Rams' 33-14 win over Northern Colorado. The Rams lost star linebacker Mychal Sisson to a broken ankle when he was on punt return coverage. Sisson was running down the field to block a Northern Colorado player when he fell down awkwardly on his right leg. Sisson was carted off the field and then taken to Poudre Valley Hospital to get x-rays on the leg.

The result was a broken right ankle, and it is possible that Sisson could be out for the season. In his place on Saturday were redshirt freshman Max Morgan and true freshman Aaron Davis. Sisson led the Rams in tackles in 2008 and 2009. If he is out for the season it will be a huge blow to the Rams' defense.

This is the second serious injury to Colorado State, as they lost starting defensive end Broderick Sargent to a torn ACL in the season opener against the New Mexico Lobos.
