Colorado State true freshman quarterback Pete Thomas was named this week's Mountain West Conference offensive player of the week. Thomas earned his first victory as a Ram leading CSU to a thrilling 36-34 victory over Idaho in Ft. Collins. His 29-of-37 passing for 386 yards and three touchdowns helped Colorado State break a 12 game winless streak that lasted well into last season.
Thomas led the Rams on scoring drives of 78, 33, 61, 80, 38, 64 and 66 yards. If they can continue to complement him with a viable running game, it seems as though CSU may be able to get into the win column a few more times this year.
