Colorado State vs. Hawai'i final: Rams win 42-7

The Colorado State Rams rallied from an early deficit to defeat the Hawaii Warriors 42-27. A pair of late pick-sixes determined the outcome and gave the Rams their second win of the season.

While Colorado State turned it over one more time than Hawaii during the contest, Warriors quarterback Sean Schroeder was picked off twice for touchdowns in the final quarter.

The Warriors capitalized on a fumble by Rams running back Chris Nwoke for the first score of the game, returning the turnover for a touchdown. Nwoke caught a 27-yard pass from Colorado State quarterback Conner Smith to tie things up, but Hawaii scored again to enter the second quarter with a 14-7 advantage.

The Rams proceeded to take the game over in the second quarter, scoring three unanswered touchdowns to go up 28-14. Hawaii scored a touchdown of their own prior to half, but they failed to take advantage of four Colorado State turnovers in the third quarter. The Warriors only mustered six points out of those miscues and trailed 28-27 entering the final quarter.

Box Score Hero: While he did have trouble holding onto the ball early, Nwoke scored twice and accumulated 142 total yards.

Rankings Ramifications: Neither team will be anywhere near the Top 25 considering they now have three victories between them.

But Did They Cover? The Rams entered the game as a seven-point favorite, so they were able to cover with their pair of late scores.
