Rockies Vs. Phillies Game Recap: Colorado Falls To Philadelphia, 3-2

Colorado Rockies reliever William Harris gave up the game-winning run, as he allowed Philadelphia Phillies right fielder Nate Schierholtz to hit an RBI single, knocking in Jimmy Rollins to give the Phillies a 3-2 win. The Rockies started out by scoring two runs in the first inning, but that is all they could muster.

The Rockies would hold the Phillies scoreless until the seventh inning, and that is when Colorado reliever Carlos Torres gave up two runs to allow the Phillies to tie the game on a two-run RBI double by pinch hitter Laynce Nix.

With the game tied at two runs apiece, the Rockies only managed one baserunner over the final two innings and never had a good opportunity to break the tie.

The one positive thing for the Rockies was how starting pitcher Jeff Francis pitched. He lasted 5.2 innings, gave up no runs and struck out seven batters.
