Rockies Vs. Braves: Colorado Looks To Rebound After Loss

Stay connected for news and updates

After showing a lot of good stuff against the Dodgers and Padres, the Rockies looked like their old 2012 selves in their first game against the Atlanta Braves on Labor Day.

The 6-1 loss featured 12 strikeouts by Colorado batters, several errors and mediocre pitching from Tyler Chatwood. Tuesday, they'll get a chance at revenge.

The Rockies will send Drew Pomeranz (1-8, 5.13 ERA) to the mound, with the youngster still seeking his second win of the season with the Rockies. He'll have a difficult match-up against Tommy Hanson (12-7, 4.45 ERA), who has done well for the Braves this season.

Colorado's offense not striking out 12 times would help in Game 2 as well.

The game will be at Turner Field at 5:10 p.m. MT.
