Diamondbacks Vs. Rockies Recap: Colorado Takes 4-2 Home Win

The Colorado Rockies' offense mustered four runs in support of their excellent pitching performance on Monday night, giving the team a much needed victory at home over the Arizona Diamondbacks by the score of 4-2.

Starting pitcher Tyler Chatwood allowed just two runs to score on three hits in his 5⅔ innings of work against the Diamondbacks. The Rockies' bullpen took it over from there to give the young right-handed starter his fifth victory of the season.

Colorado used three pitchers in relief and they combined to go 3⅓ innings while allowing two hits and zero runs. Rafael Betancourt shut the door with a scoreless ninth, giving the veteran reliever his 30th save of the season and snapping Colorado's prolonged losing streak.

Offensively, the Rockies strung together 10 hits and worked one walk on the night. The offense was led by right fielder Andrew Brown, who went 2-4 with a home run and a double.
