Rockies Vs. Padres: Colorado Looks To Win Rubber Match Of Weekend Series On Sunday

The Colorado Rockies (58-86) took Friday night's contest 7-4 over the San Diego Padres (70-76), only to lose Saturday's game 4-3. On Sunday, the Rockies take the field looking to win the rubber match and the weekend series at Petco Park.

Alex White (2-8, 5.18 ERA) will take the mound for Jim Tracy's club. White is 0-5 with a 4.89 ERA in his last 13 starts, and 0-2 with a 4.50 ERA against San Diego this season.

Rookie left-hander Andrew Werner (2-1, 2.59 ERA) will be on the hill for the Padres. In the first four starts of his major league career, Werner has lasted at least six innings and allowed two runs or fewer in each outing. He has struck out 23 in 24.1 innings of work in his short time in the bigs.

Overall, the Rockies have lost eight of their last 10 games, while San Diego has won 19 of their past 24 contests.
