The Colorado Rockies entering Monday's opening game against the San Francisco Giants on a five-game losing streak. Will they be able to end it in the confines of Coors Field?

The Colorado Rockies begin Monday's three-game home series with the San Francisco Giants on a five-game losing streak. It began with two losses to the Atlanta Braves and continued with being swept by the Philadelphia Phillies in three games over the weekend.

Alex White (2-8, 5.31 ERA) will look to end the team's five-game losing streak and his personal two-game losing streak. Since rejoining the rotation at the start of August, he has pitched more than four innings just once -- 5.1 innings in his first start -- but his team has won five of his eight starts. With the Rockies sticking to a rough 75-pitch limit, he has normally met that or exceeded that number by the time he has recorded his 12th out of the game.

On Aug. 12, White faced the Giants in San Francisco and allowed three runs in four innings. The Rockies lost the game, 9-6.

Ryan Vogelsong (12-7, 3.29 ERA) has seen his ERA rise over one full point since the beginning of August, as he has allowed three or more runs in six of his seven starts since then. In his most recent outing, he was hammered for six runs in 3.1 innings while striking out seven. On Aug. 3, he allowed four runs to the Rockies in 6.1 innings while striking out seven.

First pitch is scheduled for 6:40 p.m. MT. ROOT Sports and 850 KOA will have live coverage.
