Brewers Vs. Rockies Final Score: Colorado Holds Off Milwaukee's 9th Inning Rally For 8-6 Victory

The Colorado Rockies survived a scare in the ninth inning by the Milwaukee Brewers to win 8-6 on Tuesday night. The Rockies have now won two straight games against Milwaukee.

The Rockies led 8-3 at the start of the ninth inning, but that quickly changed when Rex Brothers allowed an RBI double two batters into the frame. With men on first and third base, Brother left the game for Rafael Betancourt. The Brewers eventually came through with back-to-back RBI singles to make it a two-run game with men on first and second base. However, Rickie Weeks and Ryan Braun both failed to do anything and ended the game in a defeat for the Brewers.

Colorado had put-down a bases loaded threat in the eighth inning with Matt Belisle on the mound. Belisle wound up striking out Braun and Aramis Ramirez to end the inning. Ramirez threw his bat in disgust.

The Rockies offense broke out another early lead, gaining a 4-0 advantage at the end of the first inning. Wilin Rosario drove in one of his two RBI then and followed that with a shot to dead center field for his 19th home run of the season. Eric Young Jr. added hit a two-run home run in the sixth, his third of the season. Carlos Gonzalez and Jordan Pacheco each drove in two runs.

Rockies starter Tyler Chatwood (3-2, 4.28 ERA) pitched six innings and allowed two runs (one earned).

The Rockies (43-71, 23-37 home) conclude this series on Wednesday afternoon at 1:10 p.m. MT with Guillermo Moscoso on the mound.
