Juan Nicasio Injury Update: Rockies RHP Scatched From Simulated Rehab Game

Stay connected for news and updates

The Colorado Rockies own the worst team ERA (5.34), WHIP (1.60) and Batting Average Against (.298) in Major League Baseball for the 2012 season, but they won't be getting any help from Juan Nicasio in the near future. Nicasio was scratched from a simulated game scheduled for Thursday due to fluid build-up in his knee, according to Troy Renck of The Denver Post. The 25-year-old has been on the disabled list since June 3, and he has posted a 5.28 ERA and 1.62 WHIP over 58.0 innings in 2012.

Nicasio's timetable for a return from the disabled list is unclear, and the Rockies (31-50) are stumbling into the All-Star break with one of the worst records in Major League Baseball.
