Nicasio was scratched from a rehab start on July 5 because of the knee trouble, which is what eventually led to Monday's procedure. He's been on the disabled list since the first week of June.
Nicasio finishes the season with a 2-3 record in 11 starts and a 5.28 ERA; he struck out 54 and walked 22 in 58 innings of work. His final appearance of the season came against the Dodgers on June 2.
