Angels Vs. Rockies: Jeff Francis Takes Mound At Coors Field Once Again

The Colorado Rockies will look to have better success against the Los Angeles Angels on Saturday when they have newly signed but familiar face Jeff Francis on the mound. The lefty officially signed with Colorado on Saturday and is wasting no time in getting back to the mound at Coors Field. Francis made 12 starts for the Cincinnati Reds' Triple-A team before exercising his option to be released once June 1 came around.

Opposing Francis will be Dan Haren (3-6, 3.52 ERA), who made it through just five innings in his last start. He needed 104 pitches to get those 15 outs, likely a result of pitching 16 innings and striking out 21 over his previous two starts.

Here are the lineups for Saturday:

Angels Rockies
CF Mike Trout CF Dexter Fowler
RF Torii Hunter SS Marco Scutaro
1B Albert Pujols LF Carlos Gonzalez
LF Mark Trumbo 1B Jason Giambi
2B Howie Kendrick 3B Jordan Pacheco
3B Alberto Callaspo RF Tyler Colvin
SS Erick Aybar C Wil Nieves
C John Hester 2B DJ LeMahieu
P Dan Haren P Jeff Francis
