Colorado Rockies pitching coach Bob Apodaca asked to be reassigned and the team agreed, according to reports from Thomas Harding and the USA TODAY.
Apodoca [sic], the Rockies' pitching coach for the last 10 years, requested the reassignment, Rockies general manager Dan O'Dowd told USA TODAY Sports. The Rockies have recently transformed their pitching staff into a four-man rotation, limiting each starter to 75 pitches.

The pitching duties fall on bullpen coach Jim Right for Tuesday's game against Washington, according to Troy Renck. The Rockies have not made a decision regarding who will replace Apodaca for the long term.
Apodaca has worked for the Rockies since 2002.
