The Colorado Rockies picked up two runs in the ninth inning after loading the bases with nobody out, but that was all the offense they were able to muster and the Texas Rangers escaped the jam to pick up a 4-2 victory on Sunday night.

Marco Scutaro hit a bases-loaded single to get the scoring started in that ninth inning, and then Carlos Gonzalez hit a sac fly. The rally went south when Scutaro was tagged out in a rundown following a wild pitch. Jason Giambi then struck out to end the game.
The Rockies will be back in action on Monday when they start a series against the Washington Nationals.
