After a disappointing finish to Friday's game against the Texas Rangers where they were only able to pick up a single run on 12 hits, the Colorado Rockies have surged offensively on Saturday to the tune of an 11-3 lead over the Rangers in game two of their series in the fifth inning.
Four different Rockies players have knocked in two runs so far, with Chris Nelson's two hits and two RBI's leading the day for Colorado so far.
Josh Outman has pitched well and has been given a mulligan on the 75 pitch limit that Jim Tracy set in place. With over 80 pitches, Outman is looking to close out the fifth and presumably get the win barring some sort of bullpen breakdown. He's had a bit of trouble getting the third out so far, allowing two runs in the bottom of the fifth so far with two outs on the board.
