The Colorado Rockies made a roster move on Saturday ahead of the afternoon game against the Los Angeles Dodgers: left-handed reliever Rex Brothers was recalled from the Triple-A Colorado Springs Sky Sox while reliever Carlos Torres was sent down to complete the transaction:
#Rockies recall LHP Rex Brothers, option RHP Carlos Torres. Brothers (#49) will be available in today's 2:10pm game against the Dodgers.

Brothers started the season with the Rockies, but he was sent down on May 20 after going 2-2 with a 5.87 ERA in 22 appearances. He struck out 21 batters and walked 12. However, he also allowed 23 hits in 15.1 innings, making him quite hittable.
Carlos Torres has had a few stints with the Rockies this season, pitching out of the bullpen. He spent the last week with the club, first for the doubleheader and then to play tag-team with Josh Outman on the mound in Friday's game. He allowed two runs in the Rockies; 13-3 victory.
