The Colorado Rockies will try to avoid a three-game sweep at the hands of the Oakland Athletics on Thursday afternoon (1 p.m. MT, MLB.com), and outfielder Carlos Gonzalez can try to keep up his recent hot-hitting. Over the last seven games, Gonzalez is 7-for-19 with two home runs, which is good for a .368 batting average. On Tuesday he reached base just once in five plate appearances, and he sat out of the lineup on Wednesday.
