Rockies Vs. Marlins Final Score: Colorado Blows Lead, Falls 7-4

The Colorado Rockies scored four runs in the first inning against the Miami Marlins on Monday, but a five-run fourth inning propelled the Marlins to a 7-4 home victory. The loss drops the Rockies to 15-26, while Miami moves to 23-19 with the win.

Rockies starter Jamie Moyer was roughed up in 3.2 innings, surrendering nine hits, four walks and six earned runs in 100 pitches. Colorado's bullpen allowed just one earned run the rest of the way, but the Rockies' offense simply couldn't score enough to win.

In fact, all four Colorado runs came in the first inning. Michael Cuddyer knocked in two runs with a double, which was followed immediately by a two-run homer from shortstop Troy Tulowitzki.

Giancarlo Stanton blasted his ninth homer of the year in the win for Miami, a grand slam in the fourth inning. Marlins starter Mark Buehrle went 7.2 innings and allowed four earned runs in the victory, which moves him to 4-4 on the season.
