Diamondbacks Vs. Rockies Final Score: Jamie Moyer Solid On The Mound, With The Bat In 6-1 Victory

Jamie Moyer turned in a solid game on Wednesday night for the Colorado Rockies, helping the team to a 6-1 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks. Moyer (2-3, 4.20 ERA) allowed one runs over 6.1 innings while striking out five. He allowed that one run on a Cody Ransom double in the seventh inning. But by that time, the Rockies had scored all six of their runs.

Moyer played a big role in getting the Rockies those six runs by plating two on a fourth-inning infield single, which made him the oldest player in MLB history to record an RBI (GIF of it here). Dexter Fowler fell a home run short of the cycle and was left in the on-deck circle when the third out of the bottom of the eighth inning was recorded. He drove in two on a triple in the second inning.

Jordan Pacheco and Carlos Gonzalez plated the other two runs that Diamondbacks pitcher Patrick Corbin allowed. Corbin (2-2, 5.73 ERA) allowed all six runs over six innings.

The Rockies (15-21, 9-10 home) are on a two-game winning streak -- a first since the middle of April -- and finish this series on Thursday afternoon. Juan Nicasio and Trevor Cahill are on the mound at 1:10 p.m. MT.
