The Colorado Rockies welcome the New York Mets to Coors Field on Friday.

The Colorado Rockies are back at Coors Field after a six-game road trip that ended with the team dropping two of three to the Pittsburgh Pirates, including a split of a doubleheader on Wednesday. The Rockies host the New York Mets on Friday night while looking to move back to .500, as they currently sit at 9-9.

The Rockies will need to get past Chris Schwinden, who was recently recalled from the minors following Mike Pelfrey's UCL injury (and potential Tommy John surgery). He has gone 2-2 with a 2.05 ERA in four starts for Triple-A Buffalo so far this season. This, however, won't be his first taste of the big leagues. He pitched in four games for the Mets last season, posting an 0-2 record and a 4.71 ERA in September.

Drew Pomeranz (0-1, 6.75 ERA) received a no-decision in his last start after leaving the game down, 2-1, to the Milwaukee Brewers. The thing is, before the fifth inning started Pomeranz was perfect: no hits or base runners allowed. Then he started off the inning with a walk and a ground-rule double. A passed ball and a double each scored a run, putting the Brew Crew in the lead. The Rockies did take a 3-2 lead the next inning, but Esmil Rogers and Edgmer Escalona combined to allow seven runs over the next two innings for the 9-4 loss.
