Rockies Vs. Pirates: James McDonald Has Yet To Allow A Colorado Hit

Stay connected for news and updates

Through five innings, the Colorado Rockies and the Pittsburgh Pirates are locked in a pitcher's duel with the score tied, 0-0. However, Pittsburgh's James McDonald has taken things one step further by not allowing a hit through the first five innings of the game. He's walked two batters and hit another one thus far. After hitting Jason Giambi and walking Michael Cuddyer, McDonald induced a double play to eliminate most of the threat, and then he struck out Chris Nelson with a runner on third base.

Rockies starter Juan Nicasio has been dealing as well, though he has surrendered five hits through five innings. He has struck out five batters so far.

When will the Rockies get their first hit?
