Rockies Vs. Diamondbacks: Rockies Tied 2-2 In Second

Tonight's series opening match up between the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies got off to a mildly explosive start in the first two innings in Denver. The D-Backs started off the scoring by taking advantage of a wild Juan Nicasio issued three walks before Paul Goldschmidt knocked in Justin Upton and Miguel Montero with a single to centerfield.

But that 2-0 lead wouldn't last long, as Dexter Fowler took a Daniel Hudson pitch deep to right field to bring the Rockies to within one. After a Carlos Gonzalez ground out, Troy Tulowitzki and Todd Helton both singled, but a strikeout by Michael Cuddyer ended that rally.

After a quick 1-2-3 inning by Nicasio in the top of the second, Rockies catcher Ramon Hernandez blasted a homer to left field to tie the game at two. Hudson was solid against the Rockies last year, posting a 3.72 ERA in three starts, but the Rockies seem intent on starting his regression.
