Rockies Vs. Giants: San Francisco Scores 6 Over Final 2 Innings For 8-6 Victory

The Colorado Rockies dropped their second game of the Cactus League, an 8-6 loss to the San Francisco Giants. The Rockies held a 6-2 lead heading into the bottom of the seventh inning, but the pitching didn't hold up over the final two innings, allowing the Giants to pick up the comeback victory. Let's take a look at some performances:

Charlie Blackmon: He led the game off with a home run and finished the game 2-for-3 with two runs scored.

Michael Cuddyer: The new right fielder continued the scoring in the first inning with a two-run triple that scored Troy Tulowitzki and Todd Helton. He came up with an RBI in the fifth to plate Carlos Gonzalez. Tulowitzki was thrown out at third on the play.

Carlos Gonzalez: He, too, drove in a couple of runs, but on a single in the second inning.

Jeremy Guthrie: The new ace of the staff, Guthrie allowed two runs in three innings by allowing RBI doubles to Pablo Sandoval and Melky Cabrera.

Jamie Moyer: Using his 82 mph fastball, Moyer got through two inning of work with five ground ball outs and a strikeout. That's him knocking on the door for the fifth spot in the rotation. It's faint right now, but don't lose track of that sound.

Esmil Rogers, Stephen Dodson: These are the culprits for the final six runs the Giants scored. Rogers allowed three runs walked four and allowed three hits. Dodson didn't walk anyone, but a couple of doubles and a single played three.

The Rockies (1-2-1) return to Talking Stick on Thursday to host the Kansas City Royals at 1:10 p.m. MT.
