Colorado Rockies pitcher Alex White was arrested on Saturday night for driving under the influence. The arrest occurred, according to the Denver Post, at 9:15 p.m. MT. One hour and 35 minutes later, White was out of jail.

According to Nowak's later tweets, White sought out manager Jim Tracy on Sunday morning to address the situation, asking to speak with the team and the media about the incident. White will not be punished for this altercation with the law, and General Manager Dan O'Dowd, according to Nowak, believes White has learned his lesson.
White's statement (other can be found on Nowak's Twitter feed):
White: "I'm completely embarrassed. It was very stupid. I've let down a lot of people … my family, this organization and the fans."

White was acquired in the Ubaldo Jimenez deal last July and pitched for the team throughout September. Drew Pomeranz, the other main chip received in that trade, had an incident with the police last October for disturbing the peace. Those charges were later dismissed. Pomeranz is expected to start the season in the rotation while White is competing for the No. 5 slot in the rotation.
