Rockies Vs. White Sox Recap: Drew Pomeranz, Chris Nelson Shine In 3-1 Colorado Win

Throughout much of Saturday's Cactus League game between the Colorado Rockies and the Chicago White Sox, it was all Rockies. Sparkling pitching by Colorado kept the ChiSox scoreless into the ninth inning, when only a solo Adam Dunn home run off of Matt Reynolds kept Chicago from being shut out.

Starting pitcher Drew Pomeranz went six strong innings of scoreless baseball, striking out two and walking one while allowing four hits. He improves his Spring Training record to 3-0 with a 0.53 ERA.

The Rockies got on the board in the top of the second inning when Jordan Pacheco doubled and Chris Nelson brought him home two batters later with a triple. Nelson drove in another run in the top of the eighth when Tyler Colvin doubled and Nelson put an RBI single into center field. The Rockies would add their final run in the top of the ninth on a solo home run by Wil Nieves.
