Rockies Vs. Angels Final Score: Colorado Defeats Los Angeles On Road, 6-2

Another day, another victory over the Colorado Rockies. After defeating the Cincinnati Reds on Sunday afternoon, 7-3, the Rockies traveled for a road contest against the Los Angeles Angels, which they won, 6-2.

The Rockies scored two runs in the fourth inning on a Wilin Rosario sac fly and a Tyler Colvin single. But it was Jason Giambi who opened up the game when he plated on a single Marco Scutaro and Carlos Gonzalez in the fifth inning. In the top of the sixth, Carlos Gonzalez did some damage of his own when he doubled in two runs on a ball hit to center field.

Drew Pomeranz threw 85 pitches in four innings, surrendering a run on Kendrys Morales' single in the fourth inning. He was able to get Albert Pujols to pop out and ground out in the two at-bats they battled each other.

Jordan Pacheco, though, had a tough day at third base, committing back-to-back errors to start the sixth inning. The second one (on a ball hit by Pujols) allowed Howie Kendrick to score from second base. But that was all the scoring the Angels had in them. They threatened in the bottom of the eighth with two men on and two out, but Josh Outman was able to get Bobby Wilson to ground out to end the inning. Outman struck out three in two innings of work.

Complete box score.

The Rockies are back in action on Tuesday with a game against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Talking Stick.
