2012 Rockies Roster: Colorado Cuts 5 More Players On Friday

Troy Renck of The Denver Post is reporting the Colorado Rockies have cut an additional five players, including top prospects OF Tim Wheeler and 3B Nolan Arenado:

Wheeler played at the Double-A level in 2011, where he clobbered an impressive 33 homers, stole 21 bases and hit a strong .287/.365/.535 slash. Arenado, the team's top prospect according to Marc Hulet, split his time between the Rookie League and High-A in 2011. He hit a combined 26 home runs and managed a decent .298/.349/.487 slash in High-A.
