LSU starter Ryan Eades, a 2010 19th round draft choice by the Colorado Rockies, was on the mound for the Tigers, allowing the sole run of the game on a Daniel Kassouf home run in the top of the fourth inning. Eades left the game having thrown 6.1 innings, allowing four hits, walking two and striking out five. He now has a 0.79 ERA and 13 strikeouts in two starts.
The LSU offense couldn't do anything against Ryan Arrowood. He held the Tigers to two hits over seven shutout innings while striking out 10. Nathan Hyatt closed out the game for the final two innings, striking out three. LSU shortstop (and 2008 Rockies draftee) Austin Nola went 0-for-3 and struck out twice.

The LSU Tigers continued its show of dominance in the 2012 LSU Tournament on Saturday night by defeating the Alcorn St. Braves, 19-0. The Tigers are now 2-0, having won Friday night's game against the Air Force Falcons, 10-2.
The Braves, who defeated the Falcons, 7-5, on Friday, had its Saturday game against Air Force postponed until Sunday morning due to weather, but the extra prep time didn't help them much against the Tigers. By the end of the third inning, the Tigers had an 11-0 lead.
Former Colorado Rockies draftee Austin Nola went 0-for-2, but walked three times and drove in a run on a ground out. A Rockies 2010 draftee, Ryan Eades threw five shutout innings of one-hit ball, striking out eight and walking one.
Air Force will play Alcorn State at 9 a.m. MT before playing LSU at 1 p.m. MT.
