Huston Street has 29 saves for the Colorado Rockies in 2011, but after his recent trip to the disabled list he hasn't jumped right back into the closer's position. Rafael Betancourt will remain the team's closer for the time being, reports the Denver Post.

Street returned to Rockies on Friday in Los Angeles after recovering from a strained right triceps muscle. He's blown three saves this season and had a bit of a rough stretch in August, allowing a five runs over three innings. After he went on the disabled list, Street saw Rafael Betancourt take over duties in the ninth inning. In six appearances, Betancourt allowed zero runs on one hit in six innings. He picked up three saves during that span.

Betancourt's role as closer isn't a permanent one, though. Manager Jim Tracy plans to gradually work Street back into the role--that is, if Betancourt doesn't keep up his recent performance.
