Rockies Vs Dodgers: Late Collapse Dooms Colorado To 6-1 Loss

Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) – James Loney and Matt Kemp cracked back-to- back home runs to cap a six-run seventh inning, sending the Los Angeles Dodgers past the Colorado Rockies, 6-1, in the opener of a three-game series at Chavez Ravine.

Justin Sellers added a two-run single, while Andre Ethier and Rod Barajas chipped in with a hit apiece for Los Angeles, which has won four straight.

Ted Lilly (8-13) picked up the win after his offense bailed him out in the seventh. He gave up one run on three hits while fanning five and walking one over seven frames.

Carlos Gonzalez accounted for the lone Rockies run with a home run and Troy Tulowitzki added a double. Colorado had its five-game winning streak snapped.
