Rcokies Vs. Dodgers: Can Colorado Pick Up A Win?

The Colorado Rockies weren't able to do much against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday night in their 3-2 loss. Clayton Kershaw pitched a strong 6-2/3 innings, but it was Ty Wigginton's error in left field that eventually led to two unearned runs against the Rockies. Now the Rockies can salvage the series with a win in the final game of the series.

The Rockies turn to Aaron Cook (1-5, 5.84 ERA) to stem the tide, but that may be a tough task. Cook did pick up his first win of the season in his last start, allowing four runs to the Diamondbacks in an 8-4 victory. However, Cook has consistently looked like a pitcher who doesn't have much left in the tank as a starter anymore. He may not be much longer for the rotation if his fastball doesn't sink and if the Rockies feel they can look to the minors for someone to take his place.

The Dodgers' Hiroki Kuroda (6-12, 3.30 ERA), subject of trade rumors, missed the previous series with the Rockies. Kuroda has put together a string of four starts in which he has pitched at least six innings, but he has allowed at least three runs in three of his last four starts. He threw seven shutout innings against the Angels on July 1for his last win.

First pitch to come at 8:10 p.m. MT.
