Colorado Rockies reliever Matt Belisle had minor knee surgery to correct a torn meniscus on Monday, the team reports:
#Rockies RHP Matt Belisle had successful minor knee surgery yesterday. It was an easy clean-up type procedure. He’s doing well.
Belisle was arguably the team’s best reliever in 2010 when he had a 2.93 ERA and 1.087 WHIP in 92 innings pitched. He struck out 91 batters, a career best as a reliever. Let’s hope he can repeat that bulldog performance in 2011.
