Rapids Vs. Whitecaps Final Score: Colorado Earns 2-2 Draw

The Colorado Rapids are still eight points behind the Vancouver Whitecaps for the final Western Conference playoff spot after a 2-2 draw on Sunday. The Rapids held a 1-0 lead early on thanks to a goal from Omar Cummings in the 34th minute, but Colorado could not hold on.

Vancouver got goals from Alain Rochat in the 64th minute and Kenny Miller in the 68th minute to move ahead 2-1. It looked as if Vancouver would get the valuable three point to hold on to its playoff positioning, but Jamie Smith scored in the 86th minute to earn the draw.

Colorado now has 30 point through 30 games played and more importantly snapped a nine game road losing streak.
