Josh Beckett makes his Dodgers debut when Los Angeles takes on the Colorado Rockies.

The Colorado Rockies return home to Coors Field on Monday to host the Los Angeles Dodgers, who had a big weekend. The Dodgers pulled off a massive trade with the Boston Red Sox for Josh Beckett, Carl Crawford, Adrian Gonzalez, Nick Punto and cash. They sent James Loney, Allen Webster and other parts to the other side of the country.

Beckett makes his Dodgers debut on Monday night against the Rockies. He disappointed the Red Sox this season, going 5-11 with a 5.23 ERA in 21 starts. His 6.64 strikeouts per nine innings and his 65.3 percent left onbase percentage come in at career worsts. Beckett is making just his seventh career start against the Rockies, five of which came when he was with the Marlins.

Jeff Francis (4-4, 5.79 ERA) has enjoyed a string of solid outings since Aug. 13, pitching at least five innings in each of his three starts. Though he didn't factor into the win, Francis pitched five innings of one-run ball against the New York Mets on Wednesday.

ROOT Sports at 850 KOA will have coverage, as usual. First pitch is scheduled for 6:40 p.m. MT.
