Rapids Vs. Timbers Final Score: Colorado Shuts Portland Out

The Colorado Rapids scored two goals in the match's first 22 minutes on Saturday night, and that would prove to be more than enough to defeat the Portland Timbers by a final score of 3-0. Those two goals came from Jaime Castrillon in the 18th minute and Conor Casey in the 22nd, and they would equal the number of shots put on goal by the Timbers in the entire game.

Colorado's Jamie Smith added a garbage time goal in the 89th minute, but by then the match had long been decided. The score would indicate that the match was dominated by the Rapids, and that was more or less true: they held possession for 60% of the time and had three times the amount of shots on goal.
