The Colorado Rapids host the Portland Timbers on Saturday night.

After sweeping the two-game season series against the Portland Timbers in 2011, Colorado Rapids meet Portland for the first time in 2012 on Saturday night at Dick's Sporting Goods Park. The Timbers have yet to win a match on the road this season (0-4-2), while the Rapids have been very solid at home (4-2-1). However, Colorado has hit a rough patch in their schedule, going just 1-3-1 in the last five matches and coming off a 2-1 defeat at the hands of the San Jose Earthquakes on June 20.

Colorado is currently tied for sixth place in the Western Conference of the MLS with Chivas USA, while the Timbers are No. 8 in the West going into Saturday's game:
