Colorado's woes away from home continued on Saturday.
The Colorado Rapids were shut out in a 1-0 loss against the Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday night in the team's first game in roughly three weeks, continuing the team's struggles away from home.
The Rapids have now lost six of the eight matches that they've played away from Dick's Sporting Goods Park in 2012. On Saturday, the Rapids had more corners and nearly as many shots on goal, but it was the Whitecaps that managed to capitalize with the game's lone goal.
That single score came pretty late, with Vancouver's Sebastien Le Toux getting one past goalkeeper Matt Pickens in the 80th minute for his fourth goal in 14 regular season games this year.
Colorado had opportunities during the match, but the goals never came. It's the fourth time that the Rapids have been shut out for a full 90-plus minutes this season.
After the recent midseason hiatus for Euro 2012, the Rapids' season continues on June 20 against San Jose.
