Rapids Vs. Union Final Score: Colorado Beats Philadelphia In Sloppy Match, 2-1

It may have been a sloppy performance, but the Colorado Rapids are off to a strong start to the young MLS season after a 2-1 victory over the Philadelphia Union.

Colorado really only had 20 minutes of quality play, which only saw 10 men on the field for much of that time. The second half was a lot more eventful as the Rapids came out with more energy after intermission. Chances started to open up for Colorado, even though it never quit turned into a good clean game.

In the 56th minute of the game, Jaime Castrillon connected with an Omar Cummings cross to break the tie. Tony Cascio scored the first goal of his MLS career to put the Rapids up 2-0. Lionard Pajoy scored the lone goal for the Union.
