Senior linebacker Doug Rippy announces on his Twitter account that he won't play in his third straight game as Colorado hosts UCLA.
Linebacker Doug Rippy will not play for the Buffaloes Saturday as they host UCLA. Rippy made the announce on his Twitter account, adding that he made improvement as he recovers from a knee injury:
I will not be playing tomorrow. This week has been a good week definitely made improvement! Looking forward to this game! #GoBUFFS

Rippy, a senior, has been out of action since the Buffaloes' Week Two game vs. Sacramento State. He has been dealing with knee issues all season long.
CU starting center Gus Handler is listed as questionable for Saturday with an ankle injury; he'd be especially useful to have playing with fellow center Brad Cotner being ruled out due to toe problems. Free safety Ray Polk is the only other player that has been ruled out for the UCLA game, as he is dealing with ankle problems.
Kickoff from Folsom Field is set for 4 p.m. MT. The game will be carried on the Pac-12 Network.
