The Colorado Buffaloes are not going away quietly as they have stuck close to the Arizona Wildcats through one half of play and are only trailing 21-17 in Tuscon.
The Buffaloes trailed by 11 points early in the second quarter after Ka'Deem Carey rushed for two more touchdowns in a three-minute span to give the Wildcats a 21-10 lead after they entered the second quarter trailing the Buffaloes by three.
But the Buffaloes answered late in the second quarter on a 13-play, 75-yard drive that culminated in a Christian Powell 1-yard touchdown run, his second of the game.
The quarterbacks were almost forgotten men until Arizona's B.J. Denker was able to put up a late touchdown pass to Dan Buckner to extend the Wildcats' lead to 11 points.
The Wildcats have had the ball for only 7:07 compared to the Buffaloes' 22:50 and yet the Wildcats still hold their double-digit lead.
