The Oregon Ducks wasted no time showing the Colorado Buffaloes why they are a top-five team in the country and the west coast's premier program as the Ducks already have a 28-0 lead after one quarter in Eugene, Ore.
The Ducks put up 14 points within the first three minutes of the game. A 41-yard rush by Kenjon Barner set up a Barner 1-yard touchdown to cap off a 5-play, 57-yard opening drive. The Buffaloes then fumbled the ensuing kickoff, leading to a De'Anthony Thomas 9-yard touchdown run.
Oregon added another 5-yard touchdown run by Marcus Mariota on its third possession, giving them a 21-0 lead in only seven minutes of play.
A 77-yard touchdown run by Barner was called back on a holding penalty, the first thing good to happen to the Buffaloes all game. But the Ducks still added another touchdown with a 16-yard touchdown pass to Bralon Addison from Marcus Mariota.
One quarter and a 28-0 lead for the No. 4 team in the country.
The Ducks come into the game 7-0 overall, 4-0 in the Pac-12 and the Buffaloes are 1-6 overall, 1-3 in the Pac-12.
