It's been a rough first season for the Colorado Buffaloes in the Pac-12, and it doesn't figure to get any easier this weekend when the Buffs hit the road to face the conference's best team. Colorado takes on No. 2 Oregon at 1 p.m. MT Saturday. The game will be televised on the Pac-12 Network
Oregon is still looking to impress voters and bolster its BCS standing. The Ducks are No. 4 behind Alabama, Florida and Kansas State, which leapfrogged Oregon this week following a blowout win on the road over West Virginia. That could mean bad news for the Buffaloes, as it's not likely Oregon will take off the brakes any time soon as it attempts to reach the BCS title game.
Colorado State looks for its first conference win in the Mountain West against Hawaii, which is also winless in-conference. Two teams higher in the conference standings are Air Force and Nevada, who play each other at 6 p.m. Friday.
Here's a look at the local college football slate this weekend. All times are Mountain:
Nevada at Air Force, 6 p.m. Friday, CBS Sports Network
Colorado at No. 2 Oregon, 1 p.m. Saturday, Pac-12 Network
Hawaii at Colorado State, 5 p.m. Saturday, Root-Sports Rocky Mountain
