The Colorado Buffaloes' struggles carried over into the third quarter as the team now finds itself down 40-6 against their conference foes the USC Trojans at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Colorado was held scoreless in the third quarter.
After entering halftime down 33-6, the third quarter was more of the same for Colorado, as the team continued to give up significant yardage through the air against Trojans quarterback Matt Barkley.
There's simply been no answer for Barkley, who has completed all but one of his passes, hitting 19 of 20 passes for more than 300 yards and throwing for six touchdowns including one in the third quarter. To show how effective the Trojans offense has been, they have only been forced to punt once today after a three-and-out.
Buffaloes starting quarterback Jordan Webb has been inconsistent and unable to move Colorado down the field the way his counterpart has. Webb has completed 17 of 32 passes for 203 yards but thrown two interceptions.
