Colorado's defense was outmatched early in the game against the Trojans offense, allowing big play after big play in the passing game. It took just two snaps for the Trojans to score a touchdown in the game, and that was a sign of things to come.
While the Buffaloes have done well in stopping the Trojans' two-headed running attack that features Silas Redd and Curtis McNeal, the team has been eaten up in the passing game by Trojans quarterback Matt Barkley, who has completed 16 of 17 passes for 269 yards and five touchdowns.
The Buffaloes (1-5) managed just 103 yards through the air and will need to rely on their passing game behind quarterback Jordan Webb in order to have any chance to pull off a comeback on the road. So far, the team's only points have been a pair of field goals off the leg of kicker Will Oliver.
