Former LA Ram Jon Embree would like to see football back in Los Angeles.

Colorado Buffaloes coach Jon Embree is a CU alum and spent much of his childhood in Colorado, but his roots run deep in Los Angeles, too. Embree played two years for the Rams when they were in Los Angeles, spent three years on the UCLA staff and now has a son playing at UCLA. Asked in his pre-USC press conference about the possibility of getting the NFL back into Los Angeles, Embree was positive:

"Yeah, the problem is, where? I played for the L.A. Rams, but we were down in Disneyland, Anaheim. I think USC finally has control over the coliseum now. I think it would be nice to have an NFL team."

The Buffs will be roughly 40-point underdogs when they visit Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Saturday. Asked how the team's current struggles might affect recruiting, Embree had this quote: "(Recruits) need to understand that we are not instant oatmeal; we are not just adding water and going." Embree added that players coming to Colorado will get a chance to "play early" and be a part of "something special."

Colorado (1-5, 1-2) plays Saturday at No. 10 USC (5-1, 3-1) at 4 p.m. MT on the Pac-12 Network.
