The Boise State Broncos will square off with UNLV on Saturday in a pivotal game for both teams.
Eager to remain on pace with Nevada in the Mountain West Conference, Chris Pederson's Boise State Broncos will hit the field on Saturday afternoon for a conference showdown with a struggling UNLV team.
The Broncos have reeled off five straight wins after dropping their season opener to Michigan State, and will face a Rebels program that sports a woeful 1-6 record on the year. Also on the schedule for Saturday is a key Pac-12 game between Jon Embree's Colorado Buffaloes and the 10th-ranked USC Trojans, a game set to air on the Pac-12 Network.
Fresh off a 34-point blowout loss to Arizona State, Colorado will play the Trojans on Saturday and then have the unenviable task of traveling to Oregon's Autzen Stadium the following weekend. Embree's young team barely pulled out a Week 4 win over Washington State for their only win of the season, but will hope to shock the world against the heavily-favored Trojans on Saturday.
Here is a schedule of notable games from around the region in Week 8:
UNLV at No. 22 Boise State (1:30 p.m. MT, NBC Sports Network)
Colorado at No. 10 USC (4 p.m. MT, Pac-12 Network)
New Mexico at Air Force (5 p.m. MT)
