The Buffaloes tight end has 10 receptions for 199 yards and three touchdowns in his last three games.

Colorado senior tight end Nick Kasa was one of 26 players named to the 2012 John Mackey Award midseason watch list, an award that will recognize the nation's best tight end on Dec. 6 in Orlando, Fla.

After not being recognized on the Mackey preseason watch list, Kasa earned a spot on the midseason watch list thanks to a strong start to his 2012 season. The 6'6, 260-pound senior has tallied 11 receptions for 239 yards with three touchdowns in six games so far.

Kasa is in his first season as a tight end after converting from the defensive end position. Prior to the 2012 season, Kasa had just one career reception for eight yards. In his last three games, Kasa has recorded 10 receptions for 199 yards and three touchdowns.

He also is very productive as a blocker and on special teams, as he has forced two fair catches in 2012.
