Colorado coach Jon Embree admits to being baffled by the team's 1-7 home record at Folsom Field in his first two seasons in Boulder.

Home has not been kind to Jon Embree's in his time in Boulder. While everyone knew that Embree was overseeing a significant rebuilding effort as the school transitioned to the Pac-12, the Buffaloes coach admitted to being frustrated by the team's 1-7 mark in Folsom Field in 2011 and 2012.

Colorado's only home win came at the end of the 2011 season against an Arizona team which had just fired its head coach.

In 2012, they've already been stunned 30-28 by an FCS team (Sacramento State) and gotten blown out by UCLA 42-14.

Now, with Arizona State coming to Boulder in a nationally televised game on Thursday night, Embree is hoping that the Buffaloes will be able to put themselves back on the map by regaining some home-field magic.

It certainly won't be easy, not when the Sun Devils are a massive -23 point road favorite. That number alone must sting Embree, as very few BCS programs are given that little respect on their own home field.
