Arizona State defensive end Junior Onyeali is a Denver native, making the Sun Devils' Thursday-night game against the Colorado Buffaloes somewhat of a homecoming. The Buffs likely wish Onyeali would have just stayed home, though.
Onyeali has been a terror for opposing offenses this season, racking up four sacks through five games. The 2010 Pac 10 Defensive Freshman of the Year recently told azcentral.com he should be playing better, though:
"I feel like I haven't been playing as well as I can, and each play I just need to treat it like it's my last," said Onyeali.
This will be Onyeali's first game playing in Colorado since playing for Mullen High School:
"I got my family coming out," Onyeali said. "I have a lot of coaches who have been there for me since I've played Little League, just a lot of people in my life that's going to be there."
