The Colorado Buffaloes (3-0) will play the Murray State Racers (3-0) on Sunday evening in the Charleston Classic championship game after both teams survived to win exciting semifinal games.
The Buffs advanced to the title game in Charleston, S.C. by beating No. 16 Baylor on Friday night, 60-58. They may have only made four of 18 free throws, but Colorado won the rebound battle and made six of 15 three-point shots to slip past Baylor and join Murray State in the final game. Askia Booker paced the Buffs with 19 points while forward Andre Roberson handed out 12 assists.
The Racers earned their spot in the championship game by rallying to beat the the St. John's Red Storm, 72-67. Stacy Wilson scored 23 points and forward Ed Daniel added 15 points and 11 rebounds for Murray State.
The surprising championship final matchup will tip off at 6:30 p.m. MT from TD Bank Arena in Charleston. The game will be televised on ESPN2.
